19-year old R&B singer Elizabeth "Yummy" Bingham grew up in the Forty Housing Projects on the Southside of Jamaica, Queens. The daughter of noted music producer Osborne "Dinky" Bingham Jr. (New Edition, Kylie Minogue, Bobby Brown, Guy) Yummy is no stranger to the recording studio or the music industry.
While she was still in junior high school, a demo she produced with her father caught the ear of Kay Gee, DJ/producer of the rap group Naughty By Nature and producer of acts like Jaheim, Next, and Zhane. Kay Gee slipped Yummy into a group with two other young ladies and dubbed them Tha Rayne. Before the group separated, they gained accolades for their vocal contributions to Jaheim's hit record "Fabulous."
After the group disbanded the teenaged Yummy struck out on her own, making guest appearances on two of De La Soul's albums. She also reconnected with a longtime family friend--who just happened to be super producer, Rockwilder (Redman, Method Man, Destiny's Child, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera.) Their union culminated in the release of Yummy's debut First Seed, The first release on Rockwilder's label Muzic Parc. The first single off of First Seed is "Come Get It," a surefire that pairs Yummy's eclectic vocal styling and the added touch of Jadakiss' signature growl.
