Tremolo

Tremolo isn't your typical rock star. The singer-songwriter--whose real name is Justin Dillion--plans to donate half of the proceeds of his debut full length, Love Is The Greatest Revenge, into a benevolence trust fund. Through online voting, fans will be able to decide where the trust fund money they contributed via their record purchase will go--be it cancer research, tsunami relief, AIDS hospice or the charity of their choice. Not only is Dillon extremely generous, he's also tremendously talented. After going to college and getting an industrial psychology degree, the San Francisco-based artist wanted to pursue music. The result: Love Is The Greatest Revenge, a release that showcases Dillon's coming-of-age songwriting. From the catchy grit of "Evil Twin" to the lush lilt of "Promise Ring," Dillon and company (including musicians that have worked with Counting Crows, Aimee Mann, Liz Phair and Jane's Addiction) meld the bluesy, dirty guitars of The Stones and T-Rex with the anthemic bombast of U2. Tremolo's music has been featured in films like (How to Deal) and television shows (MTV's Pimp My Ride and Newlyweds). The track "Evil Twin" was the theme song for MTV's reality-based dating show, Dismissed. Love Is The Greatest Revenge was released in August 2005 on Flagship Records.
