Samantha Newark

Samantha began gracing the spotlights of famous venues in England and Africa at age 7. In fact, she cut her first single and booked her first tour while cutting her second teeth.

Fondly named "Little Miss Dynamite" by the press, this pint-size chanteuse emigrated with her family from England. With mom and sister in tow, her manager dad booked high-profile shows for Samantha. She found herself performing for record number crowds. Her contagious love for performing and her professional vision were encouraged.

Now grown, Samantha continues to deepen her artistry. Her superior voice and her intimate guitar playing have become a vehicle for her powerful songwriting.

She first drew critical acclaim when ASCAP chose her to participate in "The Lester Sil Advanced Songwriter Workshop." This opportunity allowed her to gain insight from Jackson Browne, Michelle Shocked, and Matthew Wilder. That same year, she was one of 20 finalists for the Los Angeles Lilith Fair Talent Search Competition.

She has lent her voice to Sony Playstation games and numerous recording projects around Los Angeles. Also, she did animation work for the smash cartoon series Jem. Currently, Samantha is in the studio with songwriter and producer Mike K. They are working on new material for a full length debut CD in 2005.
