Electronica/break beat artist Paul Crossman a.k.a. General Midi is known for producing danceable tracks with thunderous drum programming and deep bass lines peppered with synths and old school digital effects. Hailing from Bristol, England, Midi got his start deejaying on the city's vibrant local club scene. His gift for hearing hits and moving the crowd has taken him around the world and found him spinning in the United States, Hungary, Spain, Serbia, China, Hong Kong. Midi has since gone from simply playing the records to creating them himself. With production partner Al "Eelz" Watson he has produced a number of breakbeat bangers since 1999 including "The Westoner," "Daft Funk," "Entertainer," "Bass Rockerz," and "House of Funk." In recent years, General Midi's singles have been released on some of the most respected breaks labels including TCR (Rennie Pilgrims label) & Kilowatt (Hyper's label), all leading up to his self-titled debut album due later in 2006 from Distinct'ive.
