Kreesha Turner

Raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Kreesha Turner didn't wait for a break to find her and instead honed her musical skills in gospel and jazz choirs, took acting and musical theater lessons in addition to piano and guitar. She recorded her music and sold EPs at performances she scored and entered every singing competition she could find. All that work paid off in 2005 when she won a talent search sponsored by an Edmonton radio station that led to recording with Vancouver-based writers/producers Hipjoint. One of those songs, "Bounce With Me," netted her Nelly Furtado's manager, and was heard in episodes of Gossip Girl and Entourage and in promos for Lipstick Jungle. Her debut album, Passion, followed with collaborations with songwriter Harold Lilly (Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson), producer Devo Springsteen (John Legend, Aretha Franklin) and songwriter/ producer Jon Levine (Philosopher Kings, Nelly Furtado).
